RE LOG Fall 2024

FALL 2024 Ransom Everglades LOG 39 Ransom Everglades quarterback Neimann Lawrence ’28 has attracted the interest of the top college football programs in the nation since leading the high school varsity to an undefeated record and throwing 42 touchdowns, more than four per game, as an eighth grader last year. He has received verbal scholarship offers from eight schools – and counting – including the University of Miami, Florida State, Nebraska, Ohio State, West Virginia and Texas Christian. ESPN recently ranked him the top 14-year-old football player in the nation, and The UCReport, a recruiting database, ranked him the ninth-best high school football player in any grade. Lawrence, the son of correctional officers, started playing football at age four, following his cousins into the sport. He arrived at Ransom Everglades at the start of his eighth-grade year and immediately became the varsity starter. Including the homecoming night victory on Sept. 20, Lawrence has led the Raiders to a 3-0 start in 2024 with 12 touchdown passes and 864 passing yards. He stands 6-feet, 2-inches tall, and weighs 190 pounds. “His talent on the field is what people see and is often applauded,” Coach Joe Supple said. “However, what he does on a daily basis in practice, the classroom and community is what separates Neimann frommost young men. His humble leadership style, his respect for those around him, and his unrelenting preparation and commitment to excellence are why his future is so bright. His ability to raise the level of everyone around him has been contagious and we look forward to him leading this program into the future.” WINTER, SPRING 2024 FIRST TEAM Beatriz Alves De Lima ’26 lacrosse Ryan Bienstock ’24 lacrosse Stella Colombo ’26 soccer Daniela Darcangelo ’24 soccer Sydney Gould ’25 water polo Jack Merrick ’26 water polo Jack Pollock ’24 lacrosse Sofia Rua ’24 soccer David Serra ’24 track & field Alejandro Urdaneta ’24 tennis Caitlyn White ’28 lacrosse Jude Yeo ’24 pole vault All-County Recognition Wonder Kid Ninth grader leads varsity Raiders at quarterback Myla Zuckerman ’27 Neimann Lawrence ’28
