SPRING 2026 Ransom Everglades LOG 47 1993 Tara Narula Cangello writes, “Hi! I’ve been living in NYC now for 19 years – can’t believe it’s been that long! I am working as a full-time cardiologist, seeing patients in an outpatient practice with Lenox Hill Hospital/Northwell Health in Manhattan and also working as a full-time journalist. After eight years at CBS News, and then briefly at CNN and NBC, I joined ABC News as the Chief Medical Correspondent in January 2025. When not at work, I spend time at our home in Litchfield, Conn., with my two daughters (Siena and Layla), who are 13 and 9, and my husband, David, a plastic surgeon. We love escaping the city and enjoying the peace of the country. “I am also excited to finally be publishing my new book, The Healing Power of Resilience. I truly hope this book helps people realize how resilient they are and how they can cultivate resilience to support healing after any challenge. I will be doing a book signing at Books & Books in Coral Gables the week of April 6, 2026, and would love to have RE alumni attend! Can’t wait for our next reunion!” Tara Narula Cangello with her family Ricky Stokes, Adam Elegant ’91, Tracey Stokes Silverstein ’91 and Andrew Bilzin Veronica Alcorta and Daniela Eraña Andrade ’98, Co-Presidents of the RE Alumni Board, welcomed nearly 80 RE alumni to La Brisa for the annual Alumni Community Gathering. From reconnecting with old friends to discovering new ways to get involved — affinity groups, shared interest groups, volunteering in the community, sports and more — it was a night full of community, connection and school spirit. For more information on how to get involved, contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at alumni@ransomeverglades.org. My wife and I just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Paris over Thanksgiving. Our daughter was accepted early-decision to Vassar – her top choice (and my alma mater). I just celebrated my 19th anniversary at Microsoft. I’m a Managing Director on our WW Private Capital team, which manages Microsoft’s global relationships. I lead the team that is responsible for our relationships outside the U.S. I’ve spent the last quarter hiring in India and Singapore – a lot of work but very rewarding. Overall, my team sits in London, Tel Aviv, Bangalore, Singapore and an affiliate team reporting to me in China. I love the opportunity to learn about each of these different markets and cultures, but I might be okay with a little less time on a plane. My parents are in the same house I was in when I attended RE. I always like showing my daughter the campus when we visit them. Looking forward to connecting with the class at the next reunion.” 1994 Ricky Stokes supported the Miami Hurricanes at the College Football Playoffs Championship with friends. 1996 REUNION APRIL 2026 Veronica Alcorta, see also Wendell Graham ’74, Jaimie Gelman ’98, Jacques Holzmann ’07 and Michael Toccin ’03 Izzy Havenick visited RE to engage students in a history lesson.
