60 Ransom Everglades LOG FALL 2026 Class Notes L-R: Anna K. Sfakianaki, Tara Narula Cangello, Lola Arellano Pegg and Elana Oberstein-Harris Matt Wilson writes, “I just finished my 10th year of teaching English at the local high school my kids attended. Guess I’m kind of following in my dad’s (former RE faculty member, Bill Wilson) footsteps. In addition to teaching high school English, this fall I will dip my toe into postsecondary teaching. I’ll be teaching an undergraduate/graduate methods course for middle and high school English at Boston College.” Vicki Carbonell Williamson, see George Hain ’75 and Steve Sawitz ’75 Jarrett Posner, see In Loving Memory, Sean Posner ’93 1989 Rosalie Berg shares, “I’m really enjoying working less and traveling more to visit loved ones and explore the world. I had a lovely time visiting Anne Bloodgood in Santa Barbara, where she owns the hugely popular Santa Barbara Gift Baskets and associated gift store. She is the same smiley and positive force she always was, so it was fabulous to spend time with her, get to know her kids, and catch up with her!” Rosalie Berg and Anne Bloodgood 1991 Christian Falk, Kevin Grossfeld ’95 and Aabad Melwani P’28 ’32 served as Co-Chairs for the 14th Annual RE Epic Fishing Tournament and Dock Party. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our participants, sponsors and supporters, we were able to sponsor two Breakthrough Miami scholars and raise more than $14,000 for the Anderson Watersports Center. The REEF tournament continues to engage the RE community in support of projects that fulfill the school’s mission to give back. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s event such a meaningful success. A special thank you to the entire REEF committee. Congratulations to Lizandro Leon (proud member of our facilities department) and Team Top Gun for winning first place. Head of School Rachel Rodriguez reflected on Miguel’s dedication to the school in a column in the Dell + Cannon newsletter. “Miguel has displayed a combination of laser focus and uncommon kindness,” she wrote last spring. “Whether discussing the REimagination of our college counseling office, the cost-of-living (COLA) endowment for our faculty, or the final plans for the soon-to-be-built Sundheim Humanities Center, Miguel always does two things: He keeps us pointed in the right direction, and he puts people first. Every decision comes down to this question: What is best for our students and faculty?” Miguel Dueñas at the Senior Awards Ceremony
