Jourdan Moore Houston writes, “Just back from spending time with Lou Blair Pfaelzer and Mike Pfaelzer in Vermont, where we were in awe of Lou’s incredible gardens – fruits, vegetables and more flowers than one can name. And she was nurturing and releasing Monarch butterflies as they emerged in her butterfly chrysalis hangout. And I was able to say hello by phone to her sister Nancy Blair Vietor ’60 , who lives on Martha’s Vineyard and has a popular decoration business, Carnegie Blair. Their designs include such compelling items as primo vinyl floor rugs (we have two … they have a website). Nancy left Everglades to go to Dobbs. “And, to my and Fraser’s delight, we were visited recently by Laura Oliva , whom we have visited in Fernandina Beach and who once lived briefly in our N.H. town long, long ago. Laura was in town to celebrate the 80th of her close college friend, whom Fraser and I have known for 50+ years. Their guest of honor, Pam Faber , came all the way from Granada, Spain, to join them. See photo below. Maggie Seabrook ’24 interned at Arquitectonica, an award-winning global architecture firm, in summer 2023 after meeting its principal and founder, Laurinda Spear ’68 . Maggie dove into assisting the marketing department. Says Spear, “I didn’t even think twice about hiring her.” 1968 Please consider becoming a class ambassador.
