FALL 2026 Ransom Everglades LOG 41 A middle schooler and ninth grader – Savannah Davis ’31 and Will Duncan ’29 – headlined the Florida High School Athletic Association 2A District 15 Championships at Gulliver Prep on April 15, helping RE win 11 individual or team district titles. The pair combined for five of the team’s first-place finishes under coach Mike Becker, as teammates Gillian Carvalho ’29, Ivan LeFrak ’29, London Ross ’32 and Celia Rundlet ’27 also claimed individual titles in spring 2026. The performance hinted at a strong future for track and field at RE: Davis, then a seventh grader, won all three girls’ throwing events against much-older competitors; she captured the shot put (32’ 10.5”), discus (99” 1”) and javelin (97’ 9”) titles. On the boys’ side, Duncan claimed two district titles, winning the boys’ long jump with a leap of 20’ 3’’ and the triple jump with a mark of 38’ 6.75”. Duncan also landed third place in the high jump (5’ 7.75”) and ran a leg for the third-place 4x100 relay team. On the track oval, LeFrak, also a ninth grader at the time, earned the title in the boys’ 3,200 meters in 10:48.84, after having already secured a third-place finish in the 1,600 meters. For the girls, another ninth grader, Carvalho, won the 400 in 56.92 seconds, while sixth grader Ross won the 3,200 meters in 12:25.24. Ross also helped the girls’ team win the 4x800 relay, joining teammates Ella Griffin ’29, Victoria Garcia-Pinochet ’28 and Julianna Hart ’30 in first place. In the girls’ pole vault, Rundlet cleared 8’ 4.25” to win the district title.
