SPRING 2025 Ransom Everglades LOG 69 Shawn Costantino , RE’s Director of Arts fromMay 2021 through June 2024, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep in November. He had been serving as Director of K-12 Performing Arts at Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, where his wife, Chloe, serves as a faculty member, and his daughter, Nora, is a student. Mr. Costantino energized RE’s arts community with his vision, talent and expertise during his short tenure in Miami. He inspired students and faculty to learn and grow as musicians, artists and performers, and he elevated RE’s programs and community. Thomas J. Malone III, aged 61, passed away on September 11, 2024, in Miami, Fla. He served as a Network Administrator at Ransom Everglades, where he was respected for his expertise and commitment. His professional life mirrored his personal virtues of dedication and reliability. He leaves behind his friends and loving family, including his wife, Katie; his parents, Thomas and Barbara Malone Jr.; his brothers, Michael and Dennis Malone; his sisters, Cathleen Malone and Susan McMullen (Kevin); his aunt Beverly Olean; nephews, Robert Pacheco (Charlotte) and Sean Malone (Jessica); niece, Emily Malone; stepson, Anthony Hazin; granddaughters, Shanti and Luna; aunt, Roz Malone; cousins, Timothy Malone (Joy) and Christine Shearman (Greg); Jack Daley; and cousins of the Murphy Daley families. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Malone, and his stepson, Jonathon Hazin. S amantha Abrahmsohn Rubenstein ’96 passed away in October after a four-year battle with colon cancer; she was 46 years old. She had a successful career in property management and trained herself in the practice of feng shui. Samantha is survived by her husband, Adam, daughter, Chloe, and her parents. Submissions for In Loving Memory Former faculty member John (Jack) Lewis passed away in November 2023. He was at RE from July 1992 until June 1994, working as Director of Activities, a social science teacher and in college counseling. His wife, Mary Stewart Lewis, worked at RE from June 1992 until June 1996 as Library Director at the middle school. He is survived by his two children, John Lewis ’94 and Michael Lewis ’96 . Gerard Doriol passed away in May. At RE he taught science and French from 1986 to 2004 and substituted in retirement. India Huff ’11 passed away.
