Nicholas Fort writes, “I’m excited to share that I recently opened my own orthopedic surgery practice, Fort Orthopedic Hand Center in South Miami, and I specialize in hand and upper extremity surgery. After graduating from Brown University and Cornell University Medical School and completing my residency at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital, I pursued additional training through a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. “On a personal note, I’ve been married to my wife, Melissa, for seven years, and we have three children: Lucas (6), Noelle (4) and Philip (1). “I’m grateful for the foundation my high school provided, and I look forward to connecting with fellow alumni. If you or someone you know needs expert hand care, I’d be honored to help!” Alumnae from the Class of 2006 reunited for a good cause at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s Babka Bake & Bash event at the University of Miami Hillel in September. Co-hosted by Marissa Schwartz Gimelstein and Charlotte Cassel ’03 , they learned how to bake babkas and each donated their baked goods to One World, One Heart, a non- profit food distribution organization. 2006 Michael Buttacavoli , see Jacques Holzmann ’07 Marissa Schwartz Gimelstein, Marissa Stamler Canida and Simone Weissman Stein made the most of the magic of Disney by taking their families on a fun-filled trip this winter.
