Babcock , see In Loving Memory 1962 Jourdan Moore Houston tells us that the Class of 1962 chose Fernandina Beach, Fla., for a three-day spring get-together in March. All enjoyed a seafood barbecue and a dinner hosted by the school. Classmates, several of whom gathered at a reunion hosted by Bebe Ferrell McClean in 2022, came from homes in Florida and along the East Coast. 1963 Darrow Dutcher Hodges writes, “Last year I started working at the Colorado State Capitol doing press relations and working in the legislative library during the summer months. After being retired for 10 years from PBS, I just decided I better get busy and go back to work! I just signed on for a second year working at the Colorado Legislative Session, which Andy Strauss writes, “Sorry to miss the reunion. I am looking forward to seeing the photos!” runs through June. Now that I’m a ‘senior,’ it’s the nicest office I’ve ever had! “I also plan to work more on the Douglas Vogt Dutcher ’80 Fund for Equity & Justice at RE. The fund assists kids from different backgrounds supporting their individuality, education and opportunities. (See page 32.) “I hope to be in touch with more of my class.” 1967 When designer Sergio Andrés Mendoza ’96 started his jewelry company Pharaoun in 2018, friends connected him with Isabel Atwill Merritt, owner of Isabel Fine Home Accessories in South Miami. Says Sergio, “It’s been a privilege to be featured in Isabel’s store. She has wonderful clients and taste!” 1968 Meigs Matheson, see In Loving Memory Laurinda Spear , see story on page 6 Submit Class Notes for Fall 2025 at: bit.ly/41H8Gl8 1970 Melinda Cowen and Deborah Wright share, “Our 50th reunion was set to take place with great anticipation over the large registered attendance just weeks before we were waylaid by the Covid shutdown in the spring of 2020. As a make-up, several of us gathered in person to piggyback on the 2023 reunion weekend. And while we enjoyed each other immensely, it was a smaller gathering. But we loved seeing one another so much that we decided to do a Class of 1970 Zoom! It was wonderful to see so many Everglades classmates this past October, at what we declared to be our slightly premature virtual 55th reunion! “We had a great turnout that included Alice Church, Nancy Jean Davis, Lynda Wolfson Fadel, Cree McDougal Scudder, Valerie Vente Fritzsche, Betty Wiseheart Joyce, Jane Miller Kerestes, Marie Maroon Krause, Melinda Cowen, Dotty Matheson, Amanda Hamilton Myers, Gaylen Garvett Neiditch, Sally Nims-Seaman, Vicky Williams and Deborah Wright .
