RE LOG Spring '25
SPRING 2025 Ransom Everglades LOG 45 Class Notes REconnect ‘With You for Life’ In the spring 2024 issue of the RE Log, alumni, parents and families shared Ransom Everglades’ commitment to supporting RE alumni on their career paths across a variety of industries. As part of that effort, alumni, parents and families can be a valuable resource to alumni as they explore opportunities to begin or advance their careers. Each month, the Office of Alumni Engagement highlights alumni who have REconnected in different industries. In this issue, we are proud to continue the series in print throughout class notes. Interested in learning more? Alumni are invited to join REconnect ( REalumniconnect. org ) and all members of the community are encouraged to submit job or internship opportunities (https://bit.ly/REconnect-jobs ) . Adirondack-Florida School 1903-1949 1945 David M. Wilson, see In Loving Memory Ransom School 1949-1974 1960 REUNION APRIL 2025 Joe Annis writes, “Ransom Everglades now has a 50-plus year reunion. I attended one a few years ago. What a delightful surprise to find such pleasure in visiting with long-ago schoolmates, sharing stories, smiles and laughter, and rekindling forgotten, yet memorable memories. “I plan to attend my 65th this April. I found that getting together like this brings out more than just nostalgia. We reconnect with the bonds that shaped us. We refresh relationships. We reconnect. It is a special time.” From Jeremy Jackson , “In January, I spent an hour on the upper school website reading about the curriculum and staring at the campus map. So far as I could tell there is one remaining building from when I graduated 65 years ago. It’s a different world from the scrawny little school I knew with a bare bones, if excellent academic program without any electives to choose from. I felt like an alien. It will be fascinating to see how everything has grown.” Jeremy with Maggie Pearson ’80 at the NYC Alumni Reception at the Yale Club 1965 REUNION APRIL 2025 Dean Parmelee writes, “I moved to NYC over two years ago, having retired from almost 40 years in medical school teaching, research and administration, with the last 30 or so as medical education dean. Bored to death within a month of ‘retiring,’ I found a part-time practice in Manhattan that is all telemedicine, and it’s great! In addition, I am still a partner in Alacer Medical Education Solutions and do consulting work in medical education. Between the two ‘jobs,’ I stay way too busy, so much so that it interferes with my pickleball. Something must go, and it won’t be pickleball. Oh – forgot to mention adventure travel – I went to the Republic of Georgia and Uzbekistan in October – the Silk Road. Fascinating and I highly recommend it.” 1967 Michael Moss, see In Loving Memory 1970 REUNION APRIL 2026 1972 Gary S. McKart, see In Loving Memory 1973 Jim Cassel, see Lou Dessaint ’76 1974 Robert Wayne, see In Loving Memory 1975 REUNION APRIL 2025 Ed Casal , see Kate Sullivan Lindseth E’75 From John Fleeman , “Our 50th reunion is coming up on the weekend of April 25 and 26. Many classmates have already expressed interest in attending … including three who plan to travel from California! It is shaping up to be the best turnout we have ever had for a reunion. So make plans to join us. If you haven’t seen the campus in 50 years (or even in 10 years), you won’t believe how much it has changed. For information, contact either Ed Casal ( emc.home@gmail.com ) or me, John Fleeman ( jbflee@gmail.com ) . We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there!”
