He reached out on LinkedIn, mentioning he was a recent RE grad. After a great introductory call about Jack’s interest in finance, Daniel connected with his team and brought him on as a private credit summer analyst at Banyan Ridge Capital Management. Throughout May, Jack supported deal evaluations, conducted industry research, developed financial models and assisted in preparing investment materials. She is one of two alumni to receive the honor for the 2025-26 school year. Cheyenne, Deputy Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson, is a founding member of RE’s Black Alumni group (reBa). Read more on page 40. 2015 Ransom Everglades Director of Instrumental Music Jon Hamm says he had a fantastic time attending a live performance in Tampa that featured a trio of young and exceptionally talented local musicians led by former student Daniel Calkins. Dan formed the group and took the lead on stage, performing an impressive repertoire of original jazz and lo-fi hip-hop compositions he composed. This fall, Dan returned to Ransom Everglades as a music coach, teaching jazz and trumpet. He earned a double major in jazz trumpet performance and pre-med from the University of Miami, where he studied under Grammy Awardwinning trumpeter Brian Lynch.
