David has come back full circle as an RE parent. He and his wife, Sarah, are parents to Eliana ’29 and Sophie ’32. Co-founder of Casa Lotos, David graciously helped sponsor the reception by donating Casa Lotos Sotol, a Mexican spirit made from the Dasylirion plant, more commonly known as the “Desert Spoon” or sotol in Spanish. Sotol is indigenous to the arid deserts and rocky slopes of Chihuahua, Mexico, and takes approximately 15 years to mature. The spirit was a double gold award winner at the past two San Francisco World Spirits Competitions. 1995 The Class of 1995 celebrated its 30th reunion! Thank you to Marisa Toccin Lucas for hosting in her home on Miami Beach. Alex Dueñas, see Carli Dueñas ’25 Kevin Grossfeld, Christian Falk ’91 and Aabad Melwani P’28 ’32, served as Chairs of the REEF tournament. Loyal REEF founders Elana ObersteinHarris ’93, Peter Diamond ’92 and Pearce Klevan ’97 were at their side. A huge thank you to them all. Jay Holly ’26 scored the heaviest dolphin (9.6 lbs) and the top junior angler recognition, with Spencer Miller ’15 (8.2 lbs) close behind. In the nondolphin category, Quinn Donoho of RE Technology Services landed a 33.0-lb tuna, edging Gutman Skrande ’03 (27.0 lbs). Several junior anglers scored notable catches: Preston Grossfeld ’30 (5.0 lbs), Jaaz Brooks ’29 (4.4 lbs), Pia Drulard ’24 (4.4 and 4.2 lbs), Lauren Page ’24 (4.2 lbs) and Mason Pachter (4.0 lbs).
