62 Ransom Everglades LOG FALL 2025 Class Notes Danny Cooper writes, “This is my 27th year of living in LA, and after 30+ years in the music business of running promotion for major labels, I started my own company, 88 Vines Entertainment. It is an experiential agency working with and creating intimate events for brands, musicians, wineries, spirits, chefs, venues and charities. “Reconnected with ’83 great friends and fellow cross country state champions Billy Convey, Scott Tornek and Gregg Pawley at the 40th reunion two years ago, and we’ve stayed in touch and gotten together a few times, including a few months back when I was in town for F1.” L-R: Danny Cooper, Scott Tornek, Gregg Pawley Luba Selawry Coverdell writes, “My biggest update is that this coming October I will become a grandmother. My oldest daughter, Tatiana, is due to deliver her first baby on October 20. This may become the motivation to retire!” Leslie Berckmans Cutler says, “I had a great visit from Kirsten O’Neil this summer in Wolfeboro, N.H. Looking forward to southern sojourns this winter to catch up with all the Miami crowd!” Steve Needell is thrilled to share the news of the birth of his first granddaughter! Wishing everyone the very best! Pictured below, Steve with his three grandchildren and sons, Josh and Zach. Paul Simoni writes, “Work is going great, still traveling the globe putting together memorable trips for my clients. Did a full-ship charter of a Silversea cruise ship last year, which was a lot of fun, and a lot of work. We went to London in December last year to celebrate our anniversary. Desiree and I love London at Christmas time. We are also looking for a pied-à-terre somewhere in Western Europe, probably France, but Italy and Spain are contenders too. We’re happy and healthy, and that’s all that counts!” Scott Srebnick, see Mack Srebnick ’25 Scott Tornek continues to enjoy hanging out with fellow classmates and alumni in Miami. Most recently, he visited Marshall Langer at his home in Rome, Italy. If you live in an exotic location with good food and weather, Scott would like to invite himself to stay with you, too. He plans to use Marshall as a reference. The craziest thing happened a few weeks ago while talking to a new intern. As the conversation continued and we narrowed down to Miami and then Coconut Grove, I couldn’t believe it when Verena Gonzalez ’22 said she went to Ransom Everglades. What a small world!” Michael Forte and Verena Gonzalez ’22 Eliot Gelber, see Myles Gelber ’25 Stewart McLeod, see Jeff Rubin ’82 Quentin Nason writes, “Honored to have been appointed Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at The London Foundation for Banking & Finance (LFBF), a Royal Charter institution with nearly 150 years of commitment to advancing financial education and professional standards. With over 30 years in finance, including two decades as an investment banker and now as founder of City Pay it Forward, I have seen firsthand how financial understanding, or the lack of it, can shape lives in lasting and profound ways. For individuals, for Submit Class Notes for Spring 2026 at: bit.ly/RE-class-notes Lillian Martin writes, “Hi from Austin! I’ve been here 15 years, but I still say, ‘I’m from Florida!’ I just can’t pull off the Texan thing. Adam and I have been married 32 years, and our sons are both successfully launched and living on the East Coast. About eight years ago, I joined a Facebook group of intrepid travelers who are trying to visit all 193 UN countries, so I decided I wanted to see at least 100 countries and territories. I’m at 99 currently and have been to all seven continents – hitting the last one, Antarctica, in 2024 with fellow classmate, Elizabeth ‘Betina’ Kallos Koski! About four years into this quest, I met several travel advisors on a cruise in French Polynesia, and they encouraged me to become a travel advisor. I came home and hung my virtual shingle. Business is booming, so last year I joined a luxury agency in Florida to expand my client base. It truly is very rewarding to help people discover the world. Enjoy every day on the planet – wherever you are!!” Scott Tornek, see Jeff Rubin ’82
