RE Log - Spring 2024
SPRING 2024 Ransom Everglades LOG 71 Monique Regis Monique Regis first came to Ransom Everglades to fill a temporary position in the business office and quickly found a lasting home in the front office in 2005. Since then, Monique has been a supportive, welcoming presence in Cameron Hall. When asked what achievement or contribution she is most proud of and why, Monique shared: “It makes me feel good when students, parents and coworkers are excited to visit the front office. I enjoy when I can make others feel better just by offering a smile or hello. As new applicants enter the front office, I sometimes see nervousness in the students. I give them a genuine welcome and help them feel comfortable in our school community! The family feels uplifted and more at ease. I reassure the children by, telling them, ‘Be yourself and do your best.’ Before leaving the office, the children and parents smile with relief and are appreciative of my RE hospitality and genuine interest in their child.’ With a bright smile and encouraging words, Monique lifts others up and shows how positivity can make a difference. She gives back to RE as a volunteer leader and donor for The Fund for RE because “Giving is good for the soul and makes a positive impact on the lives of others. We aRE one!” First sixth-grade field trip to Kennedy Space Center, March 1993 For more information about volunteering for The Fund for RE or making a gift to Ransom Everglades in honor of a faculty or staff member, please contact Associate Director of Advancement Melissa Bonafonte at 305 460 8215 or mbonafonte@ransomeverglades.org Mr. Bowden’s last reading of A Christmas Memory
