More news to come!” Claudia Miyar Angles at the RE Holiday Party with Marissa Gimelstein ’06, Vero Alcorta and Leigh Pollack ’98 Jessica Lewin-Zmood and Joshua Pines ’92 met at a pediatrician’s office in New York when they were expecting their first children and realized they were both Ransom Everglades alumni. Josh’s twins, Abby and Ellie, and Jessica’s daughter, Ella, were born three days apart and became each other’s first friends. Years later, Josh and his family moved to England, and the girls did not see each other for 10 years. This fall, by chance, they reunited in Israel to attend Young Judea’s Year Course together and rekindled their special friendship. Parents Josh and Agi, and Jessica and Dov are very happy and thankful that RE helped themmake their first connection. Jorge Gross , see 1995 Andres Pedroso , the head tennis coach at the University of Virginia, was named Wilson/ITA National Coach of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Andres guided his No. 5 seed Cavaliers to win the 2023 NCAA Championship, the second-straight title for the team. UVA posted a 30-4 record, including a 12-0 run through the conference schedule and third-straight Atlantic Coast Conference tournament championship.
