See story on page 38. 1980 REUNION APRIL 2024 (with classes of 1978 & 1979) Class Ambassadors: Clarence Cryer (mrcryer@aol.com ), Ann Goodman (goodmanhomes@aol.com) Clarence Cryer writes, “After 10 years as a Chief Executive Officer with the California Department of Corrections/ California Correctional Health Care Services, I have relocated to the city of Fort Worth, Texas, to join the team at JPS Health Network as the Executive Director of Correctional Health for the Tarrant County Detention Bureau. “The JPS Health Network is a $950 million, tax-supported health care system in North Texas. It is licensed for 578 beds. The network features 75 locations across Fort Worth, including John Peter Smith Hospital and more than 40 community- based clinics. “My new role includes the strategic and operational oversight of healthcare services for incarcerated individuals across multiple facilities in the greater Fort Worth area.” Keyvan Heydari collaborated with broadcaster Eduardo Biscayart on a hard-cover photo book, Eternal Glory: Argentina’s Road to Victory in Qatar 2022 , which covers the Argentine victory in the World Cup. Written by Biscayart and translated from Spanish by Keyvan, the book is anchored in spectacular photos of Argentina’s victory in Qatar 2022. Keyvan has authored two previous bilingual World Cup books in Europe. Keyvan played soccer at RE and in college. “I was so passionate about the game, I learned several foreign languages and then made a career reporting on the sport, while also playing at the semi-professional level in Italy and Puerto Rico,” he said. He covered eight World Cups for media such as NPR, France Football, Univision, Telemundo and The Washington Post , among others. In 2009, he wrote the first feature in the The New York Times on Messi. 1981 Class Ambassador: Lisa Landy ( llandy420@gmail.com ) Curtis DeLoach writes, “After seven+ years living and working overseas for the Department of Defense, our family returned to the U.S. in 2017.
