RE Log - Spring 2024
SPRING 2024 Ransom Everglades LOG 23 The Weiser Family Brad Weiser ’78 Dylan (Weiser) Dascal ’07 Alessandra Dascal ’29 “I don’t think there’s a better school. Everyone in the RE community gives back in some way, a charitable way, and everyone always stays connected.” – Dylan (Weiser) Dascal ’07 “Besides the academics, the overall commitment to the community and the values the school has taught are second to none.” – Brad Weiser ’78 “ My favorite spot on campus is the gym. I love playing volleyball there.” – Alessandra Dascal ’29 Brad: We stay connected with our college friends, but I think it’s amazing how close the connection is for Ransom alumni who are my age now, 50 years removed from our senior year. We’re still friendly. We still call on our cell phones and talk. It’s an amazing community. Besides the academics, the overall commitment to the community and the values the school has taught are second to none. My favorite spots on campus were the football field, Robert Walker Field, or what used to be called Plato’s Cave. Near the cannon, down the hill, there was a little area underneath the deck, and we all used to hide there. Dylan: I don’t think there’s a better school. Everyone in the RE community gives back in some way, a charitable way, and everyone always stays connected. My favorite memory was winning district championships in basketball and volleyball our senior year.
