RE LOG Fall 2024

FALL 2024 Ransom Everglades LOG 87 In its 12th year, the RE Epic Fishing Tournament raised $24,500 for the Ransom Everglades waterfront and community partners, The Barnyard and Breakthrough Miami. Twenty-three boats and 130 anglers of all ages tackled the waters of Biscayne Bay in this friendly fishing competition. This year the REEF committee added a catch-and-release category, giving a nod to RE’s sustainability program. Congratulations to this year’s winners: Heaviest Individual Dolphin: Evan Powe ’29, Team Powelar Express Heaviest Three Dolphin: Team Something Else Heaviest Individual Non-Dolphin: Anand Melwani ’28 Lady Angler: Dylan Berkowitz ’26 Junior Angler: Evan Powe ’29, Team Powelar Express Organized by the Ransom Everglades Alumni Association, the REEF tournament engages the entire RE community to support projects that fulfill the school’s mission to give back.
