RE LOG Fall 2024

78 Ransom Everglades LOG FALL 2024 Class Notes Dwanita Fields Woodward is the founder and CEO of Leading With Love, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young girls from underserved communities in South Florida and across the globe. She says, “Our organization has impacted more than 625 young girls throughout our Miami and international communities, and we are excited to share our recent 2024 Cultural Immersion. Each year, a group of young female leaders from our South Florida community are selected to travel around the world to make a global impact. This was our fourth annual cultural immersion experience, and this inspiring global service trip provided an opportunity for several young girls from our underserved communities to travel to Africa and impact the lives of 300 young girls and boys in the country of Tanzania through service and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). “Our mission provided life-changing experiences and opportunities for growth to young girls who may not otherwise have had access to such opportunities. Through our global service trip to Africa, we broadened their horizons, instilled a sense of cultural awareness and empathy, and inspired them to become compassionate leaders inside and outside of their communities. During this project, we distributed 1,500 reusable sanitary napkins and hygiene supplies to more than 300 young girls in the region and led several STEM workshops. They also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture, connect with peers from diverse backgrounds, and develop leadership and teamwork skills. “Successful transformative experiences rely on the support of community members who invest in the future of female leaders and value global social impact. We are so grateful to all of the Ransom Everglades community members who have supported our program and continue to support our efforts to empower young girls from underserved communities to reach their full potential. A special moment of gratitude to our sponsor, Camille Duarte ’12 , Strategic Sales Planning Manager & Chapter President of AT&T Pioneers South Florida Mixed Club who helped to secure all of our reusable sanitary items for our project. Your dedication and commitment to empowering young girls have made a significant impact on the world.” 2001 Class Ambassadors: Blair Reinarman (blair44@gmail.com ), Katie Buchanan Reynolds (Ktb.reynolds@gmail.com) , Micha Tregembo-Gross (michat112@yahoo.com) Nicole Lazo Tugg writes, “My family and I have recently relocated back home to Miami!
