RE LOG Fall 2024
FALL 2024 Ransom Everglades LOG 73 Cristina Lei Rodriguez writes, “On view in Miami until January 2025, is a beautiful art exhibition which I am a part of called, ‘Of what surrounds me’ at the Frost Museum of Art at FIU. A large selection of my sculptures, paintings and monumental works from the last 18 years are on view, including the bejeweled installation ‘Endless Autumn,’ which is on loan from the Perez Art Museum’s permanent collection. ‘Of what surrounds me’ presents three women artists whose creative process is profoundly influenced by nature, serving as both a significant element in their work and a conduit for exploring self and others. When I think back to my RE days, I can trace themes in my work today all the way back to my art classes and education. My husband Larry Brooks ’92 and I love seeing our daughters Ruby Brooks ’26 and Lani Brooks ’29 thriving at RE as well.” REconnect is Ransom Everglades’ alumni networking platform. www.realumniconnect.org Register today! • Get in touch with classmates • Search for or post jobs & internships • Network with fellow alumni A glass mosaic mural titled “Homegrown” wraps the facade of the Westchester Cultural Arts Center at Tropical Park in Miami.
