RE LOG Fall 2024
FALL 2024 Ransom Everglades LOG 49 REconnections are part of what makes the Ransom Everglades network so special It has been my distinct honor to serve as Chair of the Ransom Everglades Board of Trustees over the last two years. Over this time, we have established a fantastic administrative team, led by Head of School Rachel Rodriguez and Chief Operating Officer David Clark ’86 . We have REimagined the college counseling office to elevate the college experience for our students and families. We also launched The RE Way – the school’s core values – and affirmed our commitment to creating a joyful, caring, values-driven community. As the father of two young alumni, I have also witnessed the school’s commitment to its community reach well beyond its campuses to create opportunities for alumni in Miami and all over the world. These REconnections are part of what makes the Ransom Everglades network so special, and truly invaluable for our graduates. The connections that unite us benefit our students, alumni, parents and friends – demonstrating the remarkable value of an RE education. The core value of Support & Community was exemplified in the philanthropic support our community provided this year. Donors contributed $4.78 million to The Fund for RE, our top fundraising priority for the school, and established three new endowed funds, supporting financial aid, educational innovation and faculty support – including the Patrick and Kristen McMahon Faculty Endowment Fund, which will provide cost-of-living expenses for full-time faculty members. Thank you for ensuring Ransom Everglades’ success with your belief in our school and support of our mission. The school has set and upheld a standard of excellence through The RE Way, and I am certain that with our fantastic leaders at the helm, the future at Ransom Everglades is bright. With gratitude, Jonathan Fitzpatrick P’20 ’23 Board Chair 2022-24
