Seventeen years after graduating, Rebecca Noble ’07, Danielle Calleja ’07 and Jacques Holzmann ’07 remain close friends and continue to credit RE not only for the incredible education they received but also for the friendships and mentors that play a huge part in their lives today. To show their gratitude, they represent the Class of 2007 as Class Ambassadors, faithfully participate in The Fund for RE each year and reach out to classmates to participate. The Class of 2007 continues to sit at the top of the alumni leaderboard for participation in the annual Raider Day of Giving on March 5, generating healthy competition with other classes. When asked why they are still involved with RE, their responses overlapped and pulled themes from The RE Way, mainly Support and Community: Rebecca Noble, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Lead, Capital Planning I have nothing but great memories frommy time at Ransom Everglades and know that it shaped both my academic and professional career. Giving each year, particularly when my gift is designated towards financial aid, ensures that students can take advantage of the same opportunities I benefited from. As a legacy, I’ve felt connected to Ransom Everglades for most of my life. I attended summer camp and FSGO (For Sixth Graders Only) at RE and then eventually worked as a counselor myself for a couple of years. Many of my closest friendships to this day are with people I met in middle and high school. Since moving back to Miami, I’ve enjoyed meeting with alumni of different classes at events on campus. It feels good to have a community to give back to. Danielle Calleja, Carlyle Aviation Partners, VP Investor Relations Giving to Ransom Everglades is my way of giving back to a community that shaped who I am today. I believe that education is a transformational gift and that Ransom Everglades is a brilliant launching point for students as they begin to uncover their academic and personal paths. Beyond that, I Class of 2007 view my fundraising efforts and gifts as an investment in a future shaped by an ever-growing group of talented and charitable RE alumni hoping to change the world for the better. It’s also so much fun to rally my smart, generous classmates every year as we work together to ensure a Ransom Everglades education is available to deserving students. By supporting RE, we’re not just investing in individual students – we’re building a legacy of generosity and impact that strengthens our entire community. Jacques Holzmann, Kawa Capital, Managing Director Supporting Ransom Everglades is a meaningful way to give back to a community that continues to be a big part of my life. The opportunities I had during my time at RE laid the foundation for my academic and professional journey, and I still count many of my classmates among my closest friends. I am grateful to be in a position to help others access the same – or even better – enriching experiences. As a volunteer, I am happy to engage fellow alumni and keep them connected to a school that gave us so much. Of course, my competitive side loves that the Class of 2007 consistently tops the leaderboard for Raider Day of Giving each year! Young Benefactor Circle Jacques also volunteers as a member of the Young Benefactor Circle (YBC) Committee. YBC recognizes young alumni who give at a leadership level of $1,500 or more to The Fund for Ransom Everglades and are dedicated to fostering a lasting legacy while empowering the next generation of leaders. Last year, Jacques, Danielle and other YBC donors named the first Young Benefactor Scholar with a combined commitment to financial aid that provides a full scholarship, including lunch and related expenses, for one student each year for four years.
