Florine Lijesen ’23 and Kathryn Serra ’23 won a national championship in Oak Ridge, Tenn., and state sculling championship in Sarasota in the girls varsity double as Malena Tewari ’23 claimed a state title in the girls lightweight single. mascot had been largely retired, and students, alumni and faculty wanted a new Raider to enhance school spirit. Clark, Head of School Rachel Rodriguez, athletic directors Scott Berman (upper school) and Deb Savino (middle school), Director of Communications Amy Shipley and Communications Associate Suzanne Kores served on the new Raider committee, working closely with Miami agency DAISHO Creative Strategies to create five options for the Raider. Twenty students and alumni then narrowed the list to two finalists, and all alumni and students were invited to make the final selection.
