Shawn Harvey returned to Yale for his senior year, after taking a year off from college in 2020-21, and graduated on May 23, 2022. Shawn, who was recruited to sail for Yale, became the Inter-collegiate Sailing Association Everett B. Morris Trophy Male College Sailor of the Year. This is the equivalent to the Heisman Trophy in College Football. Shawn has earned all-America recognition at Yale for the past few years (2019, 2020 and 2022) but this is the most impressive award in college sailing. Shawn and his Yale teammates also won the Leonard Fowle Trophy for Best Overall College Sailing Team. He had quite the senior year in college sailing and his time at Yale, earning the additional following honors: ● Two-time NEISA (conference) Sailor of the Year, 2020 and 2022 ● Two-time Team Race National Champion, 2019 and 2022 ● Two-time Second Place Fleet Race Nationals, 2019 and 2022 ● ICSA Everett B.
