It talks about her journey to start Eberjey. “Ali graduated from Princeton University in 1994 and landed a job with a prestigious bank on Wall Street. At 23, her real dream of creating women’s sleepwear became a reality and Eberjey was created. ‘Eberjey,’ taken from a Nigerian dialect. It means ‘joy’.” From the get-go, Eberjey’s mission has been to provide women with what we really want in sleepwear. The company now operates retail stores in Coral Gables, Miami Beach, New York City and Newport Beach. The line is carried in prestigious specialty and department stores worldwide. Class Notes Vicki Carbonell Williamson , see Class of 2022 Matt Wilson writes, “Greetings from Boston! Can’t remember the last time I sent an update, so I’m not exactly sure where to start. This fall I will begin my seventh year of teaching English (and oc- casionally math) at the local high school here. I absolutely have found my calling. My two daughters are 21 and 19 – the 21-year-old is a rising senior in college, and my 19-year-old is in a special pro- gram for autistic adults. My wife, Jess, and I live just outside of Boston and have been here since 2004. I just attended my 30th-year college reunion, which made me realize that WE will be having our 35th next year. I am hoping that I can make it down as I haven’t been to a reunion since our fifth. If you are ever in the Boston area, please reach out!” 1989 Class Agents: Rosalie Berg (rosalieberg@strategicvantage.com ), Michael Choi (mchoi1270@yahoo.com) , Sharon-Jo Nachman (cat5sharon@gmail.com ) Rosalie Berg , see Class of 2022 Paul Erickson writes, “This is late in coming but I’m happy to announce that in June 2021, after getting engaged in Lima, Peru, in 2020, I got married to Veronica in Austin, Tex. We made it hap- pen amid scorching Texas heat and a lull in the pandemic, with over 180 guests (probably 60 percent of which were my family that’d been waiting decades for me to finally get hitched). My longtime friend Guido Antezana did me the honor of being my best man, and it was an amazing day. If any of you are going to be passing through Austin, my home of 25+ years, be sure to let me know and I’ll show you around!” L-R: Guido Antezana and Paul Erickson Trustee James G. Weaver Jr. worked with alumni board members Cheyenne Range ’14 and Jamila Stephens ’12 , alumni board co-presidents Vanessa Chartouni-de la Serna and Todd Mestepey ’91 , RE Director of Inclusion and Community Engagement Wendell Graham ’74 and members of the affinity committee to bring together RE Black alumni for the first Black Alumni Reception as part of Alumni Weekend 2022.
