FALL 2022 Ransom Everglades LOG 71 L-R: Robin Van de Kreeke ’86, Sebastian ’25 , Monkey and Dutch cousin, Chase Michiel and his son Sebastian ’25 won the alumni regatta during the 2022 Alumni Weekend. Thank you to Michiel for organizing the sailors once again with the assistance of RE’s sailing coach Joe Logan. The spirited event also raised record-breaking funds for financial aid. Rich Blaustein writes, “I’ve been super busy lately working on our latest venture, www.smartchoicepantry.com , an online food ordering software platform for food pantries, expanding access to food for those in need who are homebound or wouldn’t otherwise be able to visit a food pantry in person, and giving clients the ability to choose the food they want on their own terms. During my free time, my wife, Keri, and I are acclimating to life as empty nesters, traveling back to South Florida on a much more frequent basis, so it would be great to reconnect with old RE classmates … Please reach out and say hi!” Rich attended his Penn reunion last spring and saw RE class- mate Heidi Howard Tandy. I look forward to reconnecting with the RE community and sharing some good wine and stories.” John was recently profiled in the Business Spotlight of the Alumni E-News and on REconnect. Rob Koreman writes, “Well, I finally pulled the trigger and decided to upgrade to Captain on the A320 out of Miami. My schedule is a lot different, but I’m enjoying seeing the world from the other side of my plane.” Elena Ramirez is still living in Shelburne, Vt., and maintains a busy clinical psychology practice. Pictured be- low: her husband, Matt, and daughters, Emma and Ellie, at Emma’s graduation from Middlebury College this past May. Michiel Johan “Monkey” van de Kreeke writes, “It’s been an enjoyable year for the VDK clan. Colette, Hans ’28 and Sebastian ’25 (pictured above) have been pursuing their hobbies of horses, football and sailing, respective- ly, while we chase their tails! We spent some time in Maine this summer where we even got to surf!”
