68 Ransom Everglades LOG FALL 2022 Class 1983 REUNION APRIL 2023 Class Agent: Bill Bailey (bill@baileyrealestateconsulting.com ) Bill Bailey shares, “We have a great opportunity to reconnect at our upcom- ing 40-year Reunion, April 21 and 22, 2023! The save-the-date notices should have arrived in your inbox by now. While I’ve grown up and sent my own kids to high school, these school years and the friends who were there stick with me all the time. When I see my classmates at reunions, we talk of fond memories, but the bond of ‘growing up’ together is the real glue. All this is to say that we really want you to attend our 40th reunion! If you would like to help get our classmates together for this milestone, please contact me to get involved.” Mark Selawry writes, “Greetings to all classmates and fellow alumni. It’s hard to believe next year will mark our 40th anniversary since graduating. I have no idea if and when I last posted an update. I’ve distanced myself from what weren’t the best years while at Ransom. Since graduating, I’ve had the pleasure of living and working in Switzerland, Russia, France, U.K., Denmark, Sweden and Thank you to Howard Srebnick for organizing a dinner at Joey’s in Wynwood to celebrate the Class of 1982 40-Year Reunion. Classmates enjoyed each other’s company and then went off to visit the Wynwood Walls. Howard very generously underwrote the dinner. The reunion fee paid by classmates was directed to the Robert Segall Memorial Scholarship Endowed Fund in memory of their beloved classmates Robert Segall and Steve Dan . For those that did not have an opportunity to participate, please contact Vicki Carbonell Williamson ’88 in the Office of Alumni Engagement (vwilliamson@ransomeverglades.org | 305 460 8826). The reunion class photo above was taken at Wynwood Walls. Notes Belgium. Work has been primarily within hospitality, buttressed by an MBA from Harvard. I have three grown children still residing in Denmark. Kathryn and I enjoy living aboard our 44-foot cruising catamaran with our dog Lapa, currently sailing along the Pacific Coast of the U.S. and Mexico. Perhaps next year we’ll venture out to begin our circumnaviga- tion aboard SV Serenity. Lapa would not approve! I’m very grateful for this phase of my life and the opportunities granted. Wishing all well as we enter our silver years!” 1984 Class Agent: Eliot Gelber (egelber@msn.com ) Kenny Broad, Barbara Lamb and Eliot Gelber see Class of 2022 1985 Class Agent: Stacey Deutsch Shoer (shoerstacey@gmail.com) Debra Tower writes, “After 30 years teaching elementary music, I made a career change last August and switched to middle school math.
