Life in central Florida has been interesting these past months, what with COVID, politics and a summer heat that lasted well into November. There has been no travel, no dining out and certainly no community events in our little corner of the world. My husband and I have stayed close to home with the exception of a ‘job’ I took on back in April. I’m working (volunteer- ing) full time at our local food pantry and have met a wonderful group of like- minded seniors who are stepping up to help in this time of need. I find the ‘work’ rewarding to a degree but, wish there was more we could do. In my off time I’ve been cooking up a storm and catching up on my reading. I spoke with Devon Denny last summer after the devas- tating fires in Oregon came very close to her house. I know Irina Erickson von Korff and her family in Germany have been touched by COVID and, with the travel lockdown, were unable to spend time at their beautiful estancia in Majorca where Maria Prio and I had such a marvelous vacation in 2018. Life goes on, albeit at a bumpy pace, but we’ll get through this, one day at a time. And, I will remember 2020 as the year when I, and most of my friends, went all grey. I sincerely hope you all stay safe and well, wear your masks and get your shots.” 1967 Class Agent: Elizabeth Cowen (ejcown@gmail.com) Karyn Kennedy Herterich , see Eric Buermann ’69 Ransom School 1968 Class Agent: Jeanne Weinkle (jeanneweinkle@gmail.com) Laurinda Spear is an architect, landscape architect and co-founder of ArquitectonicaGEO, through which she explores sustainable design principles in landscape architecture, master planning and urban design.
