RE Log Spring 2021
SPRING 2021 Ransom Everglades LOG 41 RE adapts to keep St. Alban’s tradition alive MS finishes third in national history bowl Ransom Everglades sophomores worked to ensure the continuation of the school’s decades-long St. Alban’s Day tradition, even if didn’t look quite like the massive holiday carnival students and alumni have come to treasure. Each sophomore advisory adopted a class at St. Alban’s Child Enrichment Center in Coconut Grove, developing two activities to be dropped off and executed by the teachers, and providing two books for story time. RE sophomores also assembled school backpacks with books, preschool supplies, hygienic items and a stuffed animal for each child. Student Government Association representatives helped by creating an interactive video for the young students. On December 3, a few RE students along with faculty members headed to St. Alban’s after school to decorate the class- rooms and add some holiday cheer. The St. Alban’s Day activities took place the next day after a ca- tered breakfast for the center’s teach- ers, which the Class of 2023 also provided. The class also joined forces with the alumni association and REPA for the annual toy drive through an Amazon wish list developed by the school’s social workers. Read more at http://bit.ly/2MUvhqm.
