SPRING 2020 Ransom Everglades LOG 57 Adam Stein’s first film, Freaks, ap- peared to excellent reviews in theaters nationwide – and locally at AMC Aventura Mall and AMC Sunset Place – on Sept. 13, 2019. The Miami Herald highlighted the movie’s debut in a feature story, which detailed Adam’s journey from Harvard Law School dropout to movie producer. Adam, a Silver Knight winner in drama while at RE, co-wrote the film with Zach Lipovsky. In his role as alumni board president, Enrique traveled to New York City for the January 28, 2020, alumni event at The Yale Club. He and Nick Werner represented the Class of 1997. A loyal RE alumnus, Enrique took the opportunity to hunt down the original Adirondack-Florida School property near Rainbow Lake and Clear Pond in New York state while on vacation in December 2019. Here are photos of the land and present-day structures. Also, see Jessica Meyeringh White ’91. Dan Faust hosted the RE Alumni Law Group at Akerman LLP in downtown Miami this past January. More than 30 alumni in the legal profession attended. Group co-chairs Enrique Conde and Pablo Tamayo ’00 welcomed guests and asked everyone to introduce them- selves and share their specialty. Members were encouraged to work with fellow Raiders and provide internships for those entering the field. This was the first of several such events in 2019-20. The next event will take place later this spring at the new offices of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr, LLP, thanks to partner, Kevin Grossfeld ’95 . Kanchan Lalwani and family welcomed a healthy baby girl on November 7, 2019 — five years and one day after the birth of her big sister. Kanchan, Navin, and Lysha are absolutely mesmerized by Divya, and can’t wait to introduce her to the RE community in the coming months!
