SPRING 2020 Ransom Everglades LOG 49 is the third consecutive year that alumni were invited to share their personal sto- ries from that tragic day with students. Friends for decades, Jeri Waxenberg Wolfson hosted Jaymie Meyer and Kate Sullivan Lindseth (and miss- ing Leslie Lipton whose flight was cancelled … twice) in Sun Valley this past summer for food, hiking, gabbing and fishing on the great Salmon River. Everglades friends forever! Jeri Waxenberg Wolfson writes, “If you are in New York, please check out the Whitney Museum of Art, where I will have two paintings by Agnes Pelton (1881–1961) on view from my collection. The exhibition is entitled Agnes Pelton: Desert Transcendentalist and is on display from March 13 through June 28, 2020.” The Agnes Pelton pictured here is Ahmi in Egypt , 1931. I also enjoyed a visit with James Franklin in December during his family’s visit to New York.” Rudy Prio Touzet , Founder and CEO of Banyan Street Capital, was appointed to the Board of the Friends of the Underline (FUL), a non-profit orga- nization founded by Meg Thomson Daly ’78 that is working to transform the underutilized land below Miami’s Metrorail into a 10-mile linear park, urban trail and public art destination. Will spoke at the US Climate Action Hub and met presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg, ex-Secretary of State John Kerry, actor Harrison Ford, President of the General Assembly of the United Nations Patricia Espinosa, United Nations Chief of Human Rights Michelle Batchelet, and youth activist Greta Thunberg.
