RE Log - Fall 2020

30 Ransom Everglades LOG FALL 2020 Starting with my grandparents, the Gumenick family has generously donated to education, health and religious institutions. When my son, Nathan ’21, started sixth grade in 2014, I quickly realized how special Ransom Everglades was. The quality of education and the genuine care that each student receives is unparalleled. I believe that quality education is crucial to the future of our country, so pledging my support both financially and with my time on the Board of Trustees, most notably the last four years working on the STEM project, has served as a small way for me to help RE continue to develop well rounded leaders of the future. Randy Gumenick SAYFIE Nicole Sayfie Porcelli ’89 and Marcello Porcelli, The Sayfie Family and Friends of Dr. Eugene J. Sayfie STEM Innovation Lab GUMENICK Randy Gumenick Third-Floor Seminar Room in honor of Jim Cowgill Eugene J. Sayfie, M.D., often quoted Winston Churchill, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give,” and his favorite reference was Kahlil Gibran’s, “Work is love made visible.” Our father left a legacy of extraordinary giving, perseverance, patience, innovation and an infinite pursuit of knowledge. We are thrilled to honor him in the spectacular STEM center where generations of Ransom Everglades students will pursue excellence as their minimum standard, in the same way our father did. Thank you all for the opportunity to participate so that our father will be forever at one of his favorite places, Ransom Everglades School. Nicole Sayfie Porcelli ’89
