FALL 2020 Ransom Everglades LOG 17 While much of what we did was still instructional time to learn the math concepts, to break up the class period, I tried to mix in work time, online geometry videos, demonstrations with 3-D geometry figures, and even a pop-up geometry story book that I had written years ago. In physical education, we gave students the opportunity to choose a fitness app to track their cardio. They had the choice to bike, walk or run, checking in at the beginning and end of class. We wanted to them get away from their screens as much as possible. This approach allowed them to track their progress/accomplishments. During class one day, we logged on to our Hangout from our kitchens, where we cooked crepes and discussed the ingredients and toppings in the target language.
