Watching them grab their education and continue to push forward and adapt was very inspirational … They took on the challenge of digesting more material on their own and learned to manage their time better. Eric Lefebvre math and computer science I provided many projects and more independent work during remote learning. This gave students more freedom, creative license and ability to connect with other students in this format. Remote learning allowed students to trust and lead themselves more effectively, which in turn pushed their learning further. Alissa Hirschl history and social sciences One of the things that worked really well in remote learning was having students watch online performances of The Tempest on their own, with some guiding questions; write up their descriptions and interpretations of specific aspects of staging and performance; then come back to class to share those and test them out against the text. Dr. Tom Dughi English Students did extensive work outside of the REmote sessions on the physics of their instruments and associated music theory. Fingerings, valve and slide work, and instrumental positions were explored in conjunction with both ascending and descending chromatic scales, their musical notation, problem pitches and technical solutions to those problems.
