RE Log Spring 2019
48 Ransom Everglades LOG SPRING 2019 Class Notes Charlie Rua continues to grow his local real estate brokerage. In 2018, he launched Rua Realty’s commercial division with the hiring of the former Assistant Director of Planning and Zoning for the City of Miami, Luciana L. Gonzalez. This past year also marked Rua Realty’s best performance with more than $11 million in residential sales transactions. Charlie is looking forward to another blessed year and is so thankful for the numerous Ransom Everglades alumni clients, friends and partners that have helped make his success possible. He shares his enthusiasm and commit- ment to the community by continuing to serve on the Coral Gables Parks and Recreation Board, Sunset Elementary SEED board and most recently, the RE Class of 1998 Reunion Committee. The Ransom Everglades community was a large factor in raising nearly $250,000 to build the Lionel Murray Memorial Playground in an underserved neighbor- hood of Los Angeles, where we live. With my husband Matt and older son Calvin, we welcomed Alma Judith Murray (pho- tographed in floral blanket) in May 2018, who has brought us much- needed joy. I have returned to work at the public interest law firm Public Counsel where I focus on consumer fraud. Schedule permitting, I am looking forward to seeing many of you at our 20-Year Reunion this spring!” Rebeca Raney exhibited at PULSE Contemporary Art Fair, Miami Beach Dec. 6-9, 2018.
