34 Ransom Everglades LOG SPRING 2019 Raider Alumni Soccer continues to be strong thanks to the traditions established by coaches Dave Villano ’79 , Jim Beverley ’62 and Michiel “Monkey” van de Kreeke ’88 . The “old” alumni took on the “young” alumni on Nov. 24, 2018, on Walker Field following a boys’ varsity soccer game. Class of 2008 10-Year Reunion: The Class of 2008 gathered for its 10-Year Reunion on Nov. 23, 2018, at the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club. More than 45 members of the class were present along with Head of School Penny Townsend and Associate Head of School John King. Monica Mengotti ’08, Natalie Aguilar ’08 and Natalia Reina ’08 , pictured L-R, co-chaired the evening. Alumni and parents gathered on Dec. 13, 2018, for the annual holiday party. More than 150 gifts were donated by parents, faculty and alumni guests to benefit the famlies at Centro Mater as part of the REACH Too project. Head of School Penny Townsend and Board Chair Andy Ansin ’81 added to the cheer by hosting the ceremonial groundbreaking for the STEM Center. (See story page 24.)
