They’re tons of fun.” Cristina Lei Rodriguez writes, “I was honored to have my work included in an exhibition at Phillips in New York from June 18 through August 3.” The exhibition called “NOMEN: American Women Artists from 1945 to Today” was curated by Phillips’ Senior Advisor and Director Emeritus of the Brooklyn Museum, Arnold Lehman. Phillips’ advertised the showcase with the follow- ing: “The Guerrilla Girls’ 1989 headliner ‘Do women have to be naked to get into the Met Museum?’ still stands as a rela- tive test of female to male participation in museum permanent collections and exhibitions nationwide. NOMEN alters that, at least temporarily, by specifically excluding works of art by men. NOMEN is an attempt to look at recent art history through the exceptional works made by American women artists from 1945 to today.” 1993 Class Agent: Elana Oberstein-Harris (elanaober@aol.com ) Jennifer Dubin writes, “Cora and I are thrilled to share that we welcomed Frances June to the world on 6/19. Mighty little Frankie weighed in at 5 lbs., 12 oz. Lauren Brown Hornor recently received Canada’s YWCA Woman of Distinction Award in the Environmental Sustainability category, an award honor- ing individu- als whose outstanding activities and achievements contribute to the wellbeing and future of our commu- nity. A public interest environmen- tal lawyer, Lauren spent the last decade build- ing success- ful community-focused environmental organizations across Western Canada and Miami. She began her legal career representing not-for-profit organiza- tions in Clean Water Act actions against major industrial polluters in New York City and petitioned the U.S. government when it attempted to roll back the Clean Water and Air Act protections while at Waterkeeper Alliance. After years navigating the legal system, Lauren transitioned from full-time lawyer to full- time Riverkeeper more than 10 years ago when she left New York for Vancouver. She moved to devote more time to developing organizations that will restore and protect watersheds for generations to come. Lauren spent the last decade working to uphold the ideal that each and every person has a right to swim- mable, drinkable, fishable water. Lauren has been instrumental in building what is now called the Swim Drink Fish
