Thomas Flipse ’77 is the father.” Annie and Abigail are pictured with Annie’s mother, former RE trustee Dr. Ann Flipse. Fleur Lobree was appointed in April 2019 to the Third District Court of Appeal. Fleur, originally of Indiana, previously served as a Circuit Court Judge and a County Court Judge in the 11th Judicial Circuit. She received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and her law degree from University of Miami School of Law. She filled the vacancy caused by the elevation of Florida Supreme Court Justice Robert Luck. Robin Van de Kreeke writes, “The Van de Kreeke broth- ers ( Robin ’86, Monkey ’88 ) will be again heading to Dana Point, Calif., for the Annual Surf Competition, Nov. 23-24, sponsored by their side gig, The Rashie Company. The event raises funds for Surfers Healing, a non-profit that helps children with autism. We’d love to see RE alums join us for a great cause. Lucas finished first in his quarterfinal and semifinal rounds, then competed in the two-day final to earn third overall among the 15 competi- tors from around the country. During his three days of competition, Lucas cor- rectly answered 69 questions and missed only 13. He took home a $25,000 prize.
