That was the beginning of Underline Miami, set to make its debut next spring. Her “crazy idea,” as she described it dur- ing her address at the Lewis Family Auditorium April 25, led to a $100 mil- lion project for a 120-acre linear park, 10-mile urban trail and a public park and arts destination, whose first stage, the Brickell Backyard, is scheduled to open June 2020. Meg was introduced by STEM Department Chair Doug Heller ’80 . Meg encouraged students, saying: “Each one of you can be a changemaker. Find your passion and make sure you run with it and stick with it.” 1979 Class Agents: Lorraine Dan (grnddesign@bellsouth.net ), Anthony Rolle (aarolle5@aol.com) Jeffrey Miller generously hosted the Class of 1979 in his home during Reunion Weekend. Flashbacks of the 1970s took the class down memory lane. Due to the incredible outreach of the 1979 Reunion Committee, the Class of 1979 had over one third of its class in attendance. The class paid tribute to for- mer faculty member Dan Leslie Bowden by directing the class gift for its 50-year reunion to the Dan Leslie Bowden Endowment in the Humanities. 1980 REUNION YEAR Please consider becoming a class agent. Sophie, Helen and Alexandra attended Belvoir Terrace, an arts camp in the Berkshires. They are the third generation of our family to attend. Tatsiana and Sidney visited Tatsiana’s homeland of Belarus and spent time with babushka and dadushka (Tatsiana’s parents) and other family members.
