FALL 2019 Ransom Everglades LOG 67 Marlee McNaughton Matheson hosted a group of Everglades girls late February 2019 at her gorgeous Florida Keys compound, Shadow Point. They had the best time, cooking, eating, making mosaics and enjoying old forever friends. Marlee, Tina Salvesen, Barbara Beatty, Barbara Beckham, Marti Miller, Emily Hector, Isabel Atwill, Robin Bitter, Maria Prio and Liz Cowen attended the weekend. Marti Miller Raiss writes, “I just got back from a missions trip to Kenya, a program my church supports. (For more info, folks can go to treeoflives.org ). Amazing experience. Photo is of an HIV outreach home visit to Maasai family; visited kids at the Joy Village, a home for 60 kids impacted by AIDS in some way; went to the Allamano school, for the chil- dren of tea pickers. Finally, we saw lions and elephants and monkeys on my porch from the safari we took after our working time. What a trip!!” Important Alumni Links Visit them for updated information RE Alumni Webpage : www. ransomeverglades.org/alumni Facebook Page: Ransom Everglades Alumni page LinkedIn Page: Ransom Everglades School Alumni Submit Class Notes for Spring 2020 at: bit.ly/2KX4qX6 Laura Lee Ross lives in upstate New York, south of Albany, overlooking the river. Her studio is a very old and un- restored country grist mill not far from where she went to school at Bard College. She is happy, healthy and doing creative work almost every minute of the day. She writes, “I spend time doing my own art. I decorate homes and offices with attention to the principles of Feng Shui, and I teach art at a rehab for women and children in recovery from ad- dictions. I am happier than ever but still dreaming big!” 1968 Class Agents: Laurinda Spear (arqlhs@gmail.com) , Jeanne Weinkle (jeanneweinkle@gmail.com)
