SPRING 2018 Ransom Everglades LOG 61 Elizabeth Glass writes, “I am finishing my first year of my MFA program at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. In my first year, I have made four short films, and next year I will start on my thesis film! Above is a photo of me on the set of the first film I produced.” Max Grad is a financial analyst with Kraft Heinz in downtown Chicago. He graduat- ed last spring from University of Chicago. Isabella Morcos writes, “I graduated Bucknell University this past May and am now living in NYC working at Sony Pictures for the publicity team.” 2014 Carolina Pereira Ribeiro was desig- nated a John Harvard Scholar, an honor assigned to the top five percent of students in her class at Harvard. She will graduate in May 2018 with a major in sociology and minor in economics. Lisette Tellez helped the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Engineers to a conference championship and National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III tournament bid in volleyball while also garnering second-team all-conference honors in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). The Engineers (30-2) advanced to the NCAA tournament for the fourth straight season, and made it to the third round before falling to the undefeated Johnson & Wales Wildcats in a tight match. 2015 Cole McWilliams writes, “ Kelly Moran ’15 , Raquel Szomstein ’15 , Chloe Dulin ’15 and I met up in Londonderry, Ireland. We all had a blast studying abroad this past semester! Note: I am back in the USA now! I attend Wake Forest University; Kelly Moran attends Tufts University; Raquel Szomstein is at the University of Pennsylvania; and Chloe Dulin is at Georgetown University. We all also attended different universities in Europe.” Sofia Rivas was named Scholar-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 2-6, 2017, at the University of California at Berkeley. The former RE water polo star was recognized “for encompassing a range of diverse experiential op- portunities to enhance her ho- listic growth as a Berkeley scholar.” Rivas, a major contributor on the water polo team, is also active in the following: Deutsche Bank GROW, Berkeley Finance Club, Brazilian Student Association, Cal Student-Athlete Business Network and Athletic Study Center Tutoring Program. 2016 Dimitri Godur writes, “I am still very much involved in music at Columbia even though it isn’t my major. I play snare in the marching band and I am also a member of the Taiko Drum Group and CU Jazz Ensemble. I also just finished up a National Institutes of Health internship this summer and was assigned to con- duct research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in its Department of Genetics and will be declaring my major in neuroscience with a premed track at the end of this year. 2017 Joon Kim is photographed with Dr. Ken Yu ’91 , an Assistant Professor at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Joon, who moved with his family to New Jersey this past summer, was awarded a medical internship in New York City with Dr. Yu. Joon is finishing up his freshman year at Harvard, Dr. Yu’s alma mater.
