More than 300 parents, faculty members and alumni gathered on December 15, 2017, for a holiday party on the Ransom Quad. Guests were welcomed with Prosecco courtesy of Dall’Armellina Vineyards and a performance by the RE Jazz Combo and Band Director Jon Hamm. Head of School Penny Townsend and Trustee Jeffrey Miller ’79 shared details of the REinventing Excellence campaign and thanked Bonnie Seipp, REPA President, and Konky Arellano ’90 , Alumni Board President. Special thanks were also given to Board Chair Rudy Prio Touzet ’76 , and event co-chairs Tania Dominguez ’87 , Allison Holly, Vicky Hucks and Roland Samimy ’86 . More than 150 toys and gift cards were col- lected and distributed to families and children of Centro Mater as part of the REACH Too (Ransom Everglades Alumni Can Help Too) effort. The tradition continues! Dan Leslie Bowden read Truman Capote’s A Christmas Memory on December 9, 2017, at The Palace Suites in Kendall. Despite the long distance from campus, Mr. Bowden attracted a full house. Mr. Bowden’s great nephew Thomas Bowden, who lives in Mr. Bowden’s home state of Georgia, joined the reading.
