The advanced curriculum allowed Anderson and a number of his comrades to leave the Adirondack-Florida School after their junior year. Following a year at Andover, he won acceptance to Yale. Today, Anderson speaks with deep pride about the top-tier education he received at the Adirondack-Florida School, and the school’s focus on creating service-minded leaders even back then. “No question you got a good education,” Anderson said. “When JFK made that statement about do more for your country than you do for yourself, he was stealing Ransom’s words.
