Douglas and I now live in Juno Beach, Fla., and Warren, Vt. He is still working and I am a lady of leisure. Kids are grown, all four, and we have three grandchildren. Judy Golden Powers writes, “After working in healthcare operations and senior services for 50 years, I retired in 2016. I live with my husband John to whom I’ve been married for 35 years. We never had children, but we have four adorable dogs who keep us pretty busy. We love our life in Tarpon Springs where we settled 20 years ago. We love cruis- ing for vacations; we have sailed with one cruise line 30 times. We are looking forward to our 31st in November. We have sailed pretty much all over the world and are looking forward to a big one to Australia and New Zealand in 2019. John works part-time driving seniors to medical appointments, senior dining and adult day care. I volunteer for an organization that delivers hot meals to seniors who are KRPH ERXQG 8QIRUWXQDWHO\ WKH QHZV about my sister is not so positive. Peggy Golden Johnson ’66 died unexpectedly and suddenly in January of a rare form of cancer. She was only with us a week after the diagnosis. Fortunately, I was able to get her children and grandchildren here to VHH KHU EHIRUH VKH OHIW XV 6KH KDG ¿QDOO\ moved back here to Florida permanently a year ago and was happy. We were really enjoying being together. She is survived by her two sons, Shannon and Kevin, and three grandchildren, Kelsey, Keaton and Evan. They all live in Virginia. See the photo below in the left corner, taken of us riding around ground level. During successive trips to Disney, he mentioned his earlier disappointment. During spring break this April, we again rode Dumbo together and I was determined to FLY! Her mother is one of the twins, Alexandra Litowitz Siles. Her grand aunt is Susan Litowitz ’71 .” Liz gathers regularly to enjoy the lifelong friendships among the Everglades girls. This past July she met up with Tina Salvesen ’66, Isabel Atwill Merritt ’67 and Marlee McNaughton Matheson ’67 .
