FALL 2016 Ransom Everglades LOG 57 2001 Christopher Browne was inducted into the 2016 Athletic Hall of Fame for football, basketball and baseball. Chris was reunited with former football teammates Grant Souviron ’01, Michael Feinberg ’01 and Chris Courbier ’01 , all pictured in the photo held by Grant. Josefina Farra married Aaron Talone, from Moorestown, N.J., on May 21, 2016, at Epiphany Catholic Church. The reception took place at the Adrienne Arsht Center Knight Concert Hall. Josefina’s sis- ter, Nelly M. Farra ’96 , served as maid of honor. Josefina reports that she is an assistant professor of surgery within the Division of Endocrine Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Her clinical practice in- volves thyroid surgery, minimally invasive parathyroid surgery and laparoscopic ad- renalectomy. Her clinical interests include benign and malignant diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands, as well as multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) syndromes. Megan Bradley Rose entered the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame last spring with eight other inductees, in- cluding former NFL stars Kellen Winslow, Jr., and Willis McGahee. A state tennis champion at Ransom Everglades, Bradley Rose was a two-time All-American at Miami who set the school record for victo- ries in one season (44 out of 46 matches in 2000-01). 2002 Danielle Rudy Davis recently oversaw the planning and coordination of the me- morial for The Greatest, Muhammad Ali. Davis has worked on the planning of the event for the last eight years in her role as Vice President at Boxcar Public Relations in Louisville, Ken. Davis managed all media relations for the international event, which included a 19-mile processional and televised memorial with eulogies from Pres. Bill Clinton, Billy Crystal and Bryant Gumbel. Davis lives in Louisville with her husband Drew and three children – Drew, five; Reese, two; and Blake, seven months. Marcel Laniado writes, “My wife, Marielis, gave birth to our first son, Luis Mauricio Laniado, on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. We are all doing great and falling into our new routine as a family.” Christian Fong and his wife, Daniella, announced the birth of their first child, Christian Alexander Fong, on April 21, 2016. He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 21 inches. Christian is an attorney in Miami and practices corporate, commercial and entertainment law. Michael Mijares writes, “Recently mar- ried to my beautiful wife Gabriella Braga in March 2016. She was a Gulliver gradu- ate, but we’ve decided without a doubt that our future children will be attend- ing Ransom Everglades!! I just started my second year of orthopedic surgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/ University of Miami and would love to cover RE athletics one day. Go Raiders!” Hillary Lewin Tuvia writes that “On March 29, 2016, my husband Guy and I had our second baby boy, Elijah Lev. Our first is two-and-a-half, and his name is Ariel.” 2003 Jenny Carson is teaching social sciences at Ransom Everglades after a summer enjoying her family and friends - includ- ing Ashley Zohn ’00 - and cruising the Baltic. Michael Green was married to Jessica on December 13, 2014. He also celebrated a five-year work anniversary at Gunster (where he is an associate in the firm’s business litigation department) in June 2016. Rodrigo Zamora Teran went to Babson College, graduating 2007 in with a bachelor’s degree in finance and econom- ics, then went on to get his MBA at the Incae Business School in Nicaragua. He got married on March 19, 2016, in Nicaragua, joined by a handful of friends from Ransom Everglades: Marcos Azar, Michael Lluria, Arturo Pedroso, Raul Boesel, Luke Samson, Ronald Lacayo, Rodrigo Zamora, Diego Zamora, Manuel Carreño, Danny Ruiz (see photo next page) . Rodrigo has remained in Nicaragua working for his family’s business – a financial group in Central America that is headquartered in Miami ( www.lafise.com ). He reports: “I am very proud of social work that as a family we are promoting in the Central American and Caribbean region. We created the
