FALL 2016 Ransom Everglades LOG 55 Ivette Rodriguez Hernandez Hernandez lives in Miami Springs with son Yandro Hernandez, an up-and- coming tennis player. She works at Delta Media, Inc., a media buying agency, as a national account manager in the com- pany’s Miami office. 1996 Veronica Alcorta writes, “This past June, I joined Bulgari (LVMH) at their Latin American corporate office based in Miami. I am working as merchandising manager for the jewelry, watches and ac- cessories categories for Bulgari boutiques in Latin America. Previously, I was an advertising and marketing manager based in the company’s U.S. corporate office in New York City. I am excited about rejoin- ing the brand, which has a rich heritage of 130 years of Roman inspired jewelry and luxury goods.” Ingrid (Seroppian) Corona works as marketing manager for Citizens Bank, doing digital marketing for the bank’s stu- dent loan suite of products. She is married to Salvador Corona, and they have two boys. Alejandro, five, entered kindergar- ten in September. Jordan, known by the nickname Jordi, is two. The family lives in Medfield, Mass., which is about 40 minutes southwest of Boston. Nelly Farra is the Founding Miami Director of Babson WIN (Women Innovating Now) Lab, which brings women to the forefront of Miami’s en- trepreneurial economy. It was created by the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL) at Babson College as an accelerator that provides female entre- preneurs with an inspiring community and a rigorous, experiential process that catalyzes innovative thinking and enables them to successfully launch or transform businesses. He and his wife Amanda, along with their daughters Caroline, four, and Elizabeth (“Ellie”), three, reside in Arlington, Va. Colleen Soriano Weinrich is happy to share that she and her husband Glenn welcomed their first daughter, Fiona Rose Weinrich, to the world on June 30, 2016. They live in Brooklyn in a neigh- borhood known as DUMBO. She works at Facebook managing the company’s relationship with advertising agencies. Her husband Glenn is in music label market- ing at Spotify. Colleen served as a panelist for the RE Alumni Connections in New York on May 18. (See page 40.) 1997 Enrique Conde and his wife Annette had a baby girl, Celine Marie, on June 1, 2016. Older brother Lucas is very excited. Giselle Ferro Puigbo writes, “Our family is now living in Brooklyn, N.Y. We are enjoying getting to know our new city. Amaya, our daughter, is about to turn three years old, our son Santiago is start- ing eighth grade in the fall, and our young- est son Diego passed away earlier this spring. We want to thank the RE com- munity for being so incredibly supportive of our family; with our new move to N.Y., comes new beginnings too. My husband, Andres Puigbo, starts a new job this fall as Technical Director at Brooklyn Friends School. I have been loving my role as Vice President of Development at Blue Engine, an education nonprofit based out of New York, an opportunity that prompted our move. We all miss Miami and the RE community very much!” Javier Millares and his wife Adriana welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Camille Alina Millares, into the world on July 20, 2016. In addition to being a new father, Javier has been diligently work- ing the family business, Millares Asset Management, which was recently ranked the 12th-fastest growing RIA in the country by Financial Advisor Magazine. The firm currently advises high-net-worth clients implementing holistic financial planning along with the family CPA firm Millares & Company. In addition, with his brother Ruben Millares ’98 and Luis de la Vega ’98 , Javier will be releasing the long-awaited, self-titled rock-n-roll album Chicken Liquor later this year. Samantha Unger Katz writes “Our family grew this year with the birth of our second daughter, Poppy Suzanna Katz, on March 25, 2016. To give Poppy and her big sister, Elsie, some more room, we moved to Brooklyn. This also puts us closer to our distilling business, New York Distilling Company, which is now in its fourth year. Come join us for a cocktail if you’re in town.” See Arthur Unger ’71 1998 Cody Courbier moved back to Miami after 11 years living and working in New York City where he was an investment banker with Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. He recently joined Millares Asset Management, a RE alumni-run firm that manages assets for ultra-high-net-worth clients across the country, adding new depth and experience to better serve the company’s clients. Ruben Millares and his partner Antonia Wright added a beautiful baby boy, Otis Mars, to the universe on December 29, 2015. Over the past 15 years, Ruben has helped build and grow his family’s CPA firm, Millares & Company, and wealth management firm, Millares Asset Management. Millares Asset Management has been ranked as one of the fastest- growing RIA firms in the country for the past two years by Financial Advisor Magazine. The two firms work in tandem to provide their high-net-worth clients with a truly holistic view of their financial lives and help them reach their goals. In addition to his work life, Ruben is proud to announce the release of his latest, self- titled rock-n-roll album Chicken Liquor with fellow alumni band members Javier Millares ’97 and Luis de la Vega ’98.
