I’m still with Arby’s in Consumer Insights, going on 25 years now. I don’t have any kids but I do have two sponsored kids – one in Ethiopia (went to visit him in 2013) and one in Mexico. In my spare time, from September to May, I teach with a minis- try called Bible Study Fellowship. They have about 1,100 bible classes world- wide. I have the privilege of teaching the Sandy Springs-GA class. We’ll kick off in September with the Gospel of John. Be blessed!” Leslie Saiontz. See Jeff Miller ’79 . Lisa Shaw writes “We packed up our Boulder, Colorado, life last July and put it in storage as we undertake a European adventure: living in Barcelona, Spain. My children, Sophia (15), Charlotte (12) and Owen (12) and I are soaking up new ways of living and engaging with other cultures. Living abroad during an election year has added another perspective as we see the U.S. through different eyes. We’re hoping for visits from Georgia Penn Noble ’74, Kate Sullivan Lindseth ’75, Kathryn ’83 and David Villano ’79 and other RE pals ready for some fabulous Catalan paella and glass of cava. As we travel around Spain we plan to look up Señor Steve Hughes ’76 in Madrid and any other RE alum on the continent who may enjoy reminiscing for a moment or two about our school on the bay. Feel free to send suggestions or look us up if you are passing through. You can find us in the RE online directory. Salute!” 1978 Lauren (Keith) Katz resides in Pembroke Pines and has been working as an artist at VIVID Visions Artistry. We’ve been great friends since our RE days, have kept in touch and always enjoy our time together. Among the three of us we’ve lived in many interesting places since leaving high school, includ- ing stints in Calif., Va., N.C., Tenn., Ga., Nev., N.Y., Pa., Tex. and London. We’ve earned two MBAs, have been awarded nine Emmys, raised five children (three already college grads) and have kept our sanity and sense of humor through all of it! Currently Marina is founder and execu- tive producer at an international produc- tion company Right Angleton Productions, based in Miami. Nancy divides her time between Raleigh, N.C., and Caswell Beach, N.C. She has a makeup and skin care business. I live in Richmond, Va., and am currently the chairman of The Jenkins Foundation, a health care foundation that serves the underprivileged in my commu- nity through The Community Foundation. We wish all the best to our fellow 1978 classmates!” 1979 Maurice Ferré was honored last spring with the Ransom Everglades Founders’ Alumni Award for Distinguished Service to the Community, which is annually given to an alum who has helped to fulfill the vision of the founders of the Ransom and Everglades schools by showing deep concern about his or her community and demonstrating honor, courage and leader- ship.
