We made history by achieving and surpassing our Alumni Fund goal of $1 million for the very first time. This milestone gives us so much to be proud of as we continue to leave our valuable mark on RE as alumni. As graduates of RE, it is important for us to do our part to ensure that current and future Ransom Everglades students have the same or better educational opportunities and experiences that we benefitted from. The Fund for RE supports all students and faculty by allowing our school to provide the best for them – whether it be through academics, athletics, arts, technology, financial aid or faculty development. How did we do it? As a team… Thank you to all the members of the RE Alumni Association Board, all alumni committee members and volunteers, and all class agents for your service. Each year we continue to build upon our dynamic volunteer base. As we all know, every team needs a leader, and we are so thankful to our fearless leader, Alumni Fund Chair Todd Mestepey ’91 , for taking on this role for the second year in a row. His leadership and professionalism will be hard to match! Todd is always willing to look outside the box. These are some of the efforts that helped us reach our goals this year: • March Madness young alumni effort chaired by Jason Schwartz ’10, Marissa Schwartz ’06 and Natalie Skaf ’04 • Raider Day of Giving • NYC Alumni Match from Jarrett Posner ’88 and Pam Kayton Posner ’92 for alumni in the NYC Region • Harry H. Anderson, Jr. ’38 Matching Gift Challenge in honor of his 80-year reunion • And to top it off… our 24-hour Alumni Challenge initiated by an anonymous alum who offered to match dollar for dollar up to $20,000. This final push got us to the $1 million mark and gave our community the encouragement it needed to help reach our Fund for RE goal of $3 million. Thank you to Head of School Penny Townsend and Board Chair Rudy Prio Touzet ’76 for their utmost support of the RE Alumni program. It was my honor and privilege to serve as the 2017-18 Alumni Association Board President. I look forward to working with you again next year! Agustin “Konky” Arellano ’90 President, Alumni Association Board 2017-18
