Ransom Everglades Report of Giving 2017-18

Letter from the Director of Advancement For a complete honor roll of donors, visit ransomeverglades.org/report-of-giving 2017-18 Greg Pollard Director of Advancement Dear Ransom Everglades Community, As I reflect on the past year at Ransom Everglades, I am filled with profound gratitude. The 2017-18 school year was yet another remarkable year for the school with regard to philanthropy and engagement. Those combined efforts yielded nearly $7.2 million in financial support for RE students, faculty, programs and our campuses. Not only did the The Fund for Ransom Everglades achieve another record- breaking year, with more than $3 million committed, but we also made huge strides in our comprehensive campaign, REinventing Excellence, launched last fall. REinventing Excellence now stands at $37.6 million, more than halfway to our goal of $75 million by 2023. The fruits of this generosity are apparent. As we start the year, the Upper School campus is in the midst of transformation. Cameron Hall is newly renovated, our athletic facilities on both the Middle and Upper School campuses are being refreshed and construction on our cutting-edge new STEM and Multidisciplinary Center and renovation of the La Brisa property is underway. I am pleased to share the 2017-18 Report of Giving, our annual yearbook of philanthropy. It is our honor and privilege to publicly thank and acknowledge those in the Ransom Everglades community who have demonstrated their support and commitment to RE’s mission. Please take a moment to read this report and, with us, recognize the thousands of donors who supported Ransom Everglades this past year. These donations allowed us to develop new academic initiatives, provide vital scholarship assistance and embark on the most ambitious expansion and building projects in the school’s history. The generosity of our donors helped to provide an educational experience and environment where our students are challenged to grow and reach their full potential every day. I was truly inspired by the extraordinary and unwavering support of our trustees and volunteers in 2017-18. Their tireless dedication sustains our progress and continues to enrich and invigorate the Ransom Everglades community. I would also like to extend a special thank you to board chair Rudy Prio Touzet ’76 ; trustees Jeffrey Miller ’79 and Constance Fernandez, chairs of our REinventing Excellence Campaign ; chair of our Advancement Committee Ghislain Gouraige; Agustin “Konky” Arellano ’90 Alumni Board President; parent fund chairs Dondra and Kevin Ritzenthaler; alumni fund chair Todd Mestepey ’91 ; faculty fund chairs Josh D’Alemberte, Astrid Dalins, Penny Matthews and Ginny Onorati; staff fund chair Monique Regis; and Bonnie Seipp, president of the Ransom Everglades Parents’ Association. We have achieved so much, but our work continues. More than ever before, it is an important time to invest in our future. I hope you enjoy reading the 2017-18 Report of Giving. Thank you for all that you do and for making Ransom Everglades a philanthropic priority.
