62 Ransom Everglades LOG FALL 2018 Alumni had a banner year for the Fund for RE. This was the first year alumni were tasked to raise $1 million . Not only was this goal achieved, it was surpassed! All of the alumni efforts throughout the year made our continued success possible. Personal phone calls, blast emails, social media engagement, reunion parties and more helped further the school’s outreach and keep alumni connected. Below are some of the 2017-18 highlights: Raider Day of Giving March Madness 24-hour Challenge Total Donors New Donors ” 334 97 “ 104 42 75 8 RE is on a wonderful path right now, and we are full steam ahead. – Agustin “Konky” Arellano ’90 Our third-annual Raider Day of Giving was also a success with an 11-percent increase in total raised and 29-percent increase in participation. Within this campaign were several mini campaigns. They included the "REgift" Challenge on social media (check out on our alumni Facebook page), intensified reunion class giving efforts, as well as the NY regional challenge extended once again by Jarrett Posner ’88 and Pam Kayton Posner ’92 . The March Madness campaign was a brand-new effort initiated by our Young Alumni Committee. This nationwide effort was geared to alumni from the Classes of 2000 to 2017. It played off of March Madness to bring camaraderie and fun to this younger group while benefitting RE. It brought in 42 new donors this year and engaged new young alumni volunteers. Finally, the alumni year-end push in June was one-of-a-kind thanks to the generous matching gift we received in the last week from an anonymous donor. The match generated enthusiasm and the sense of urgency we needed to put us over the top. Thank you once again to everyone who made this possible. Alumni support is vital to RE’s future, helping the school provide the best for its students.
